NHS eye examination
The following groups are entitled to a ‘free’ NHS eye examination:
- Children under 16 or under 19 if still in full time education
- People and their dependants in receipt of certain state benefits
- Diabetics.
- Glaucoma sufferers - and certain of their close relatives over the age of 40.
- The registered blind and partially sighted.
- People entitled to NHS complex lens vouchers.
- People aged 60 or over.
